2020 30 Mile Shiraz

30 Mile wines are produced by John Quarisa who is probably best known for his Johnny Q label. During his extensive winemaking career John has picked up some of Australia’s top awards including the Jimmy Watson and Stodart trophies.
Deep black dark red colour with a dark red hue. Expressive aniseed and dark plum aromas fill the nostrils with some toasty oak, dried herb and peppered herb notes also evident. Juicy dark cherry and liquorice fruits show ample flesh across the mid weighted palate with scorched earth, vanillin oak and spice characters lurking underneath. Velvet smooth tannins with a plush ripe dark fruited finish. Good value.
Drink over the next 1-2 years.
