Arboleda' represents the premium tier from the Eduardo Chadwick family of wines. Carmenere is capable of producing bold, flavoursome yet balanced and complex wines. Those from the Caliterra stable are stylistically similar, each sharing a complexing dried leaf / tobacco characteristic that overlays the spicy, ripe fruit notes. It's an unmistakable and unique combination that's prompted critics internationally to conclude of Chilean Carmenère: 'When they're good, there's really nothing else quite like it'.

This brilliantly crafted Carmenere combines the refined elegance of Bordeaux with a good dose of new world richness

Magnificent impenetrable inky black core with a very deep dark purple black tinged hue. Pronounced aromas of blackcurrant, black cherry and liquorice are overlaid by subtle tobacco and cedar characters followed by faint dusty earth and spice end notes. Rich blackcurrant, black cherry, blackberry and subtle liquorice flavours flood the palate with cedary tobacco infusions adding interest and complexity but take a back seat to the concentrated fruit. Nuances of dried herbs and spice follow on. Solidly built but very finely grained tannins complete the picture with a long conclusion of spicy ripe blackcurrant, black cherry, a hint of liquorice and cedary tobacco characters.
