Two Hands was formed in 1999 with the clear objective of making the best possible Shiraz from Australia’s top producing Shiraz sites. Proprietors’ Michael Twelftree and Richard Mintz philosophy is quite simple “From the beginning, we have set out to build a wine company that is different in its approach, one that is innovative and not afraid to think outside the square. We want to put some fun back into wine.”
The 2012 Angels Share was aged for 12 months in oak of which 12% was new American and the remainder in one to six year old French and American hogsheads.

‘An explosively powerful McLaren Vale Shiraz that boasts a huge core of succulent fruit, a plush mouth feel and long imposing finish.’

Outstanding inky black crimson core with a very deep black crimson hue showing excellent colour saturation. Superb nose with scented aromas of ripe blackberries, liquorice and dark plums dominate followed by some dark chocolate, vanillin oak and spice. The palate boasts an extravagant level of richness for its price point delivering an opulent flavour profile of liquorice and ripe blackberries followed by a touch of dark chocolate, toasty vanillin oak and spice. Thick, rich, sumptuous texture with velvet smooth tannins. Magnificent power and richness with very long aftertaste of liquorice, blackberry, toasty vanillin oak and spice.

Cellar 5-6 years.
