2012 Shaw & Smith M3 Chardonnay

Brilliant pale straw colour with a hint of greenish tinge on the edges and watery hue. The nose is a little restrained at first but builds with time in the glass displaying white peach notes intermixed with some cashew and biscuit followed by some light toast and citrus. The palate possesses good mid palate richness and acid structure with flavours of ripe white peach and citrus followed by some creamy cashew, biscuit and spice. Clean dry, moderately creamy finish. Medium to long aftertaste of delicate white peach, cashew, citrus and spice.
Cellar 4-5 years to allow the wine to fill out and build complexity.
