A Rich Classically styled McLaren Vale Shiraz with all of the cellaring done for you

Re-tasted 26/5/2016:
Totally opaque inky black core with a deep very dark red hue. Pronounced aromatics of dark plum and liquorice arise from the glass with underlying nuances of dark chocolate, vanillin cedar, earth and spice following on. Rich, full bodied and possessing a round opulent textural feel the palate is furbished with flavours of liquorice, dark plum and subtle chocolate bullet flavours over some spicy vanillin oak and emerging earthy leather characters on the back palate. Velvet smooth tannins. Long aftertaste of liquorice, dark plums, a touch of bitter dark chocolate, vanillin cedar and spicy earthy leather.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
Alc 14.5%

Originally tasted October 2012:
Totally opaque black dark red colour with deep dark red black hue. The nose presents an intense sniff of ripe blackberry, dark plum and chocolate bullets followed by some vanillin mocha like notes. Mouthfilling palate flavours of rich ripe dark plum, liquorice and dark chocolate with an overlay of vanillin oak and a spicy back palate. Fine grained, slightly sturdy tannins provide good structural support. Long dark plum, liquorice and spicy oak aftertaste.
Cellar 4-5 years.
Alc 14.5%
