2008 Alpha Crucis Shiraz

Matured for 24 months in large French oak vats. Totally opaque black crimson colour with very deep black dark crimson red hue. Superb nose with lifted top notes of ripe blackberry and liquorice followed by some dark chocolate, vanillin confectionary and spice. Mouthfilling, richly textured palate with intense flavours of liquorice and blackberry followed by some dark chocolate and confectionary with a spicy back palate. Fine grained and well integrated tannins. Long aftertaste of liquorice, toast, confectionary and spice.
Cellar 4-5 years (2015-2016).
Alc 14.5%
