    This is the second tasting of this wine, which is settling down and beginning to build. Very deep black crimson colour with black crimson hue, showing excellent cling. Violet and dried apricot top notes delivering a perfumed lift. The palate weight is filling out, with flavours of spice, apricot, blackberry and liquorice emerging. Fine grained soft tannins with aftertaste of dried apricot, blackberry and liquorice.

    First Tasted, April 2008: Very deep crimson colour with crimson mauve hue. Top note of liquorice and plum followed by a hint of dried apricot, blackberry and a touch of leather as an end note. Good palate weight, with flavours of dried apricot, plum, stewed fruit and liquorice. The structure is tighter than the 05 or 06. Aftertaste of dried apricot.
