20% of the Cabernet grapes were left out to dry over an 8 week period, thereby concentrating the flavours and giving the wine an Amarone twist. The nose appears a touch porty. Very deep almost opaque black crimson colour with deep crimson hue. Ripe prunes on the nose, followed by mocha and dark chocolate. On the palate flavours of cedar and spice with a very spicy back palate. Fine dryish tannins, balanced. Aftertaste of blackcurrant and spice.
