2004 Mr Riggs Viognier

Adelaide Hills, South Australia, AUSTRALIA
$26. 99
Bottle
$323.88 Dozen
Closure: Cork

Winemaker Ben Riggs has opted to source fruit from Adelaide Hills and Langhorne Creek for this wine, producing what is a restrained style of Viognier, rather than the big blousy styles from warmer areas, arguing that over the next year it will fill out and gain fullness and richness whilst still retaining it’s acidity.
Brilliant straw colour with pale straw hue. Subdued notes of apricot and tropical fruit, followed by hints of pear and musk. The palate is restrained reflecting the cooler vineyard sites. Flavours of apricot and pear persist, followed by a hint of lemon on the back palate. Clean acid finish with aftertaste of apricot, pear and orange.
