Totally opaque inky black colour with a youthful dark red black hue. The nose displays distinctive aniseed opening notes followed by some dark chocolate, vanillin confectionary and liquorice allsorts scents. Full bodied, rich and opulent the palate features generous mouthfilling flavours of aniseed, blackberry, toasty vanillin oak, liquorice allsorts confectionary and spice. Dry, slightly chewy finish with solidly built but fine grained tannins. Long aniseed, toasty vanillin oak, liquorice allsorts, confectionary and spice aftertaste.
