B3 wines is a venture started by the three Basedow brothers of Basedow wines fame whose family has a 150 year legacy of winemaking. The fruit for this Shiraz, which also happens to have a 4% Cabernet component, is sourced from several different vineyards situated on the Barossa Valley floor with vineyards ranging in age between 8 to 15 years old and yields on average 4 tons per acre.Maturation took place in new American oak and a combination of 2 to 5 year old French and American oak for a period of 22 months.

‘A rich, sumptuous, chocolately Barossa Shiraz that offers terrific value’

Totally opaque inky black purple core with very deep dark purple black hue showing excellent colour saturation. Showing very good intensity the nose offers up an aromatic profile of liquorice, dark chocolate and mocha followed by some vanillin oak and spice. Rich opulent flavours of dark chocolate, liquorice and very ripe plum flood the palate followed by some vanillin oak mocha like characters and a spicy back palate. Plush sumptuous mouthfeel with velvet smooth tannins. Long dark chocolate, liquorice, ripe blackberry, vanillin oak and spice aftertaste.
Drink this flamboyant effort over the next 3-4 years.
