Bright deep straw colour with pale straw hue. Generous nose of ripe apricot, spice and tropical fruit delivering a strong lifted sniffing experience. The palate has weight with exotic flavours of spice, apricot and tropical fruit. Followed by a hint of orange and citrus. Clean acid finish, with orange and citrus flavours persisting followed by a very long spicy aftertaste.

Retasted October 2007: Bright straw colour with pale straw hue. Top note of tropical fruit, followed by spice and a hint of citrus over dried apricot. A subtle sniff! The palate has good weight, with flavours of tropical fruit, spice and apricots. Clean acid finish. The wine needs time to fill out and build its flavour momentum. Aftertaste of tropical fruit and apricot.

First Tasted July 2007:  Bright straw colour with green tinge. Top note of tropical fruit followed by ripe apricot and spice. The varietal characteristics are evident but without the power of a late picked Viognier. The palate displays moderate weight, being a more elegant style. Flavours of tropical fruit, apricot and lemon are evident. Clean finish. Apricot and tropical fruit aftertaste.
