The Macallan 1824 Collection Oscuro Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

Originally a travel retail exclusive, Macallan Oscuro is a combination of casks filled between 1987 and 1997. The Master Distiller has combined the collectability of Macallan with once trademark, rich, sherried elegance to create a luxurious expression. This was the 'No Age Statement' category runner-up in Jim Murray's Whisky Bible 2011 collecting 95.5 points. See below for an extract from Jim's review.

Other reviews... the cleanest, most juicy grape dripping into a puddle of molten muscovado sugar; amazed I have not been attacked by wasps while tasting this...oh, if all sherried whiskies could be that kind - and taste-bud blowingly fabulous! 46.5% Alc./Vol. 95.5 points
