Glenturret Sherry Cask Edition Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

Undoubtedly a novelty - even for seasoned whisky lovers, as Glenturret rarely make it to our shores. This sherry influenced expression was matured in both Spanish and American Oak Sherry casks.

Tasting note: Deep gold. Apples and fresh grapes on the nose with later inhalations finding dried fruits including apricot and fig. Mildly oily, middleweight delivery with spicy fruit cake, vanilla and hints of wood shavings in the drying aftertaste. Youthful yet balanced. Well-defined sherry input. 43% Alc./Vol.

Founded in 1775 and currently owned by the Edrington Group, Glenturret claims to be one of Scotland's oldest distilleries. The malt makes up a large component of the Famous Grouse blend, and more recently the distillery produced some batches of peated whisky for the Black Grouse blend.
