Dalmore's Gran Reserva label is an update on the 'Cigar Malt' expression, no doubt due to the increasingly powerful anti-smoking lobby. Sadly, it seems when the label was updated, the malt was left unchanged. It is said to remain an unexciting whisky, consistent with the other young whiskies in The Dalmore's stable.
Matured and married in 60% ex-Sherry and 40% ex-Bourbon oak.
