The Arran Cask Finishes Sauternes Cask Finish Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

Those who've already experienced the Amarone Cask Finish will be pleased to hear that two new expressions are available in the range, and they're just as good. After initial maturation in x Bourbon casks, this was finished in casks that previously held Bordeaux's famous sweet white - Sauternes. Once again, it's bottled all natural and at a higher than usual ABV.

Tasting note: Bright glossy gold. A layered nose; opens with honey drizzled muesli, dried apricot and hints of peach and pear. After 4-5 minutes air contact the aroma creams-up with suggestions of custard as well as dried fig and toasted barley. Like the rest in the range, the delivery is nothing short of superb: Here Arran's juicy, fruity style gets a honeyed-cocoa edge. Deftly handled, the Sauternes melts into the malt, while the balance is maintained until the last. Outstanding. 50% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered.
