That Boutique-y Whisky Company Macallan 29 Year Old Batch 6 Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky (500ml)

A highpoint in the latest Boutique-y shipment is this near three decades old Macallan, a legend of Speyside. Massively popular and always in constant demand, this is Boutique-y's second batch to carry an age statement. The label once again references the distillery's curiously small stills (though not quite as small as the label suggests).

Jim Murray rated a 25 year old 97 points (same series, different batch). Could this live up to the same standard? The bottlers describe batch 6 as "Stewed red fruit-like with a little rhubarb supported by a malt core and having great balance, finishing long with fruity coffee notes." 43.5% Alc./Vol. Very limited.

Please note: slight cracks in the bottle's wax seal are not uncommon. This is not a packaging fault.
