Ledaig is the name used for peated expressions from Tobermory. In fact, Tobermory was called Ledaig for a while during the latter half of the 1900s, but soon switched back to Tobermory. Following in the tradition of Boutiquey's hand illustrated labels, this edition has a very angry man on it who seems to have had quite enough of Islay thinking they’re the last word in peated whisky. He’s going to set the record straight. How is he going about doing that? Well, he’s taught himself to fly and he’s got himself a massive sledgehammer, for starters... This batch was a run of 921 bottles.

Notes from the bottler: Nose: Meaty, smoky and earthy and generally yummy. Notes of steak crisps, cooked apple and crushed pepper. Palate: Smoky peat, leading into yet more peppery warmth. A little bit chocolatey at points, too. Finish: Almond biscuits, tea leaves and a lasting hint of oak-y caramel. 51.7% Alc./Vol.
