Allt A Bhainne has Gaelic roots and means something like 'Burn of Milk' (burn meaning 'stream'). A relatively recent enterprise, established in 1975 by Seagrams, its main focus has been supplying malt whisky for the Chivas Regal blends. Mothballed in 2002, the distillery was re-opened in 2005 when Pernod Ricard decided to make Chivas their premier brand. Described as a modern facility and more like a 'whisky factory' than a traditional operation, the output is transported by lorries to a large filling facility in Keith where it's barreled to mature. Reportedly, the distillery has never had a named bottling released. Pernod Ricard claim they intend to keep it that way.

Rarely seen and even rarer at this age, especially as the distillery is so new, this Boutique-y edition is typically labelled with a whimsical cartoon design, this one depicting The Whisky Squad (represented as a herd of particularly excitable cows) singing that well-known House of Pain song (because Allt-á-Bhainne sounds like House of Pain). 49% Alc,./Vol. Batch 3 is limited to 175 bottles.
