Tasmanian Independent Bottlers Redlands Distillery Release 1 Muscat Cask Single Malt Australian Whisky (500ml)

"Tasmanian Independent Bottlers Pty Ltd" was established in 2015 to showcase limited bottlings of Australian and New Zealand spirits. Their production model is based on Tim Duckett’s Heartwood operation, however, the aim is to produce whiskies that may have a greater range of appeal with ABVs around 48% as opposed to high octane mid-sixties. Whiskies are matured in Australian quarter casks (100 litres), with spirits being sourced from several Australian and one New Zealand distillery. New make is purchased and selected based on its texture and flavour profile then matched to a specific barrel type.

This edition is from “Redlands Distillery” and was matured in Muscat barrel TIB RD 001.

A new Tassie venture, in September 2016, Redlands sowed their first crop of barley in their new home at Kempton, continuing a paddock-to-bottle philosophy. x Pinot Noir and fortified wine casks are typically employed with water transported from the Plenty River.
