Sullivans Cove Single Cask XO Brandy (700ml)

Following the ethos applied to their single cask whiskies, Sullivan's Cove brandy is bottled one barrel at a time. Various European and American oak casks are employed, each bestowing its own character. Production Manager, Heather Tillott comments “These single cask brandies will strike a chord with single malt whisky drinkers due to their intense depth, rich complexity and balanced elegance.”

Tasting note: [Barrel TDB0029] Burnished copper colour - beams from the glass. The aroma opens mildly tart, gradually engaging with a soft, rich nose-feel. 3-4 minutes air contact evokes enticing scents of old muscat, crème caramel, sticky date pudding and vanilla. Slightly astringent on entry; bittersweet dark chocolate... builds body, intensity and richness, peaking at the finish in a delicious rush of sugars (dates, fruit-cake, vanilla and caramello). Sustained through the aftertaste. Youthful, big-hearted new-world brandy with plenty of personality. 47.6% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered. 473 bottles.
