    Renmark, South Australia, AUSTRALIA
    $67. 99
    Bottle
    $815.88 Dozen
    ABV: 37%

A nice option for a drier-style Ouzo, this copper pot distilled spirit is lightly sweetened with cane sugar before filtering for clarity. The nose conjures dry, earthy, caraway and fennel-like aromas reminiscent of Aquavit. Flavours are medium-sweet with juicy aniseed and fennel through the mid-palate, fading with liquorice strap, hints of caraway and cleansing spirit heat. Match it with appetisers like chargrilled seafood and saganaki. 37% Alc./Vol.

Other reviews... Pours clear, this louches to attractive opalescent when ice water is added. Look for a bright licorice scent and bold, mouth-filling licorice candy flavor. 88 points - www.wineenthusiast.com

    $599.88 Dozen
    ABV: 38%

First produced by the Kaloyannis brothers in 1880, this Greek Anise specialty is reputedly named after the 12th cask which always contained the best quality ouzo. As to why this was so remains a mystery…Nevertheless, the quality of Ouzo 12 is certainly not unknown and its status as the worlds No.1 has been gained through its subtle taste – created via the perfect marriage of eight different herbs and spices in traditional copper stills. Ouzo 12 is best drunk neat, on the rocks or mixed long with water, lemonade or soda.

Tasting Notes: Clear, but turns a milky white with water. Very pure anise flavors with a dry lingering finish. Delightfully clean.
