The Varela family has been harvesting and distilling 100% estate grown sugar cane for over a century. This is one of three limited edition rums that take inspiration from the Scotch Whisky industry, using Oloroso Sherry casks to finish the maturation. The result is reportedly not overly sweet with a delightful combination of dried fruits and rich rum notes.
