Rogue Society Goldi Locks Premium Dry Gin (700ml)

Launched by a group of gin enthusiasts in 2014, and located in Auckland, Rogue Society employs a hand beaten 19th century John Dore copper pot still. Their wheat based spirit is infused with a botanical range that includes juniper, lemon peel, orange peel, coriander seeds, cardamom, cinnamon, cassia bark, orris root and nutmeg.

"Goldi Locks" is the limited edition, higher proof or "Navy Strength" version of Rogue Society gin. Handsomely packaged in a replica centuries-old Geneva style bottle.

Tasting note: Piercing alcoholic lift carries muted drier styled aromas; two minutes air contact draws out orange and lemon peel, white pepper and background juniper. Fills out after air contact but the citrus (more so orange peel) remains the key note. Initially a little hollow flavour wise but builds to a full throttle citrus / pepper / juniper attack. Finish highlights tongue nipping spices followed by a creamy flood of sweet citrus oils. Concludes brisk, dry and cleansing.
