Produced from a mash of 56% corn, 31% rye and 13% barley, this is a tribute whisky dedicated to moonshiner, William DuYores.
Maturation took place over four years in new American oak with a percentage finished in French oak barrels. Very limited shipment. Tasting note: Deep amber/gold. Charry oak, dried corn and peppery rye over vanilla. Dryish in the mouth, initially lightly peppered; builds to a spicy rye attack over vanilla; finishes with a hint of maple syrup, followed by mildly oily, grilled corn and sweet spice characteristics in the aftertaste. A lively style with big rye input. 45.6% Alc./Vol.
