Grape Varieties: Black Vernaccia
Region: The village of Serrapetrona In the eastern region of Marche.
Production: The grapes are harvested mid October, November and 50% of these bunches are hung from beams to wither in airy rooms. Fermentation takes place in big pressure barrels to produce a sparkling wine.
Characteristics: Bright ruby red in colour with a persistent beading and delicate aroma. The flavour is of wild berries and is full bodied and persistent. The palate is well balanced and slightly sweet with an agreeable bitter aftertaste.
Serve: 6-8° C
