2004 Kingsbury Bunnahabhain 13 Year Old Single Cask No.3597 Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml) - Damaged Gift Box
Tasting note: [15ml sample] Opening aroma is borderline gin-like, resembling crushed pine buds and peppercorns. Brief air contact turns the bouquet 360, revealing a superbly honeyed / beeswaxy aspect. Intense and pure. Super waxy, with cream sponge cake and milk chocolate flavours through the finish. It could be Clynelish in full bloom with all this beeswax... Ends long and chewy. A freak Bunnah' that fans of this distillery will adore. 61.1% Alc./Vol. 587 bottles produced. Non chill filtered. Extremely limited stocks.
The Kingsbury range of indie bottlings are hand selected (mostly) for the Japanese market by proprietor, Katsuhiko Tanaka with assistance from Springbank's Gordon Wright. Another very small parcel has just landed in Australia, including this middle aged, high octane Bunnah'. Notes from the bottlers describe a whisky that's smoky, oily, gingery, honeyed and long.
