Tasting note: [20ml sample] From a very quiet, east Speyside distillery, bottled from a refill hogshead. Deep gold. A touch of coastal air to the malt-forward bouquet. Brief swirling adds whiffs of citrus, especially orange pith and peel - so kind of like a good Glenmorangie. Juicy, round and concentrated; the mid palate is oily, straight-forward but salivating with a decently spiced backbone. Some crystalised citrus and orange spice cake enter at the finish. Ends sprightly, tangy, delicately salty. Impressive. 52.5% Alc./Vol. 321 bottles. Non chill filtered.
