Tasting note: Despite a name that's notoriously difficult to pronounce, this relatively new distillery (built in 1974) has already garnered a following. Most of it disappears into the J&B blends. This one's Oloroso matured. Pale gold. Soft and reserved on the nose; A tad grassy before sweetening to cream sponge cake, tea biscuits and fruit-laced muesli. One of the gentlest cask strength deliveries in memory: Intriguing too - a wonderful nutty sherry-meets-young-bourbon-meets-breakfast cereal kind of profile. The rice puff granola finish follows with late bristling spices. Difficult to pin down. Throw it in at your next blind tasting. 51.2% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered. 280 bottles.
