McWilliam's Max Brandy (700ml)

An Australian brandy made from a Colombard base wine, distilled and then left for 2-3 years as a “low wine" at around 30% alcohol, before a second distillation. Maturation took place in new and one year old French Oak barriques and hogsheads for a minimum of 10 years.

Tasting note: Bright copper / old gold colour. Offers a generous bouquet of caramel, fruit mince pie and brandy cream. Lean entry develops to a dryish delivery with nippy spirit carrying subtle Christmas fruit-cake and vanilla flavours. Concludes lean, light and more keenly dry. Choice for mixing as a sound alternative to sweeter styled brandies. 37.5% Alc./Vol.
