McLain & Kyne Jefferson's Very Small Batch Bourbon Whiskey (700ml)

Kentucky, UNITED STATES
$99. 99
Bottle
$1199.88 Dozen
ABV: 41.2%

Jefferson's label suggests low barrel batches in this suitably titled 'Very Small Batch bourbon'. While it was a novelty when it debuted back around 2010, nowadays 'small batch' runs are more common, especially for many micro distilleries. Generally considered a good choice for anyone just starting off on their bourbon journey, this Jefferson's is priced accordingly. While the exact mashbill and composition remains undisclosed, what is known is that it's a sourced blend of up to four Kentucky Straight Bourbons.

Other reviews... The whiskey’s formula has been improved, and now consists of a higher percentage of older whiskies (into the high teens) than the original release (which I rated 81). Nicely balanced, with candied fruit, blackberry jam, soft vanilla, kettle corn, and a kiss of mint. Pleasant, unpretentious, and uncomplicated.
