Tasting note: Created to celebrate golf’s original championship, Loch Lomond's Master Blender, Michael Henry has crafted 'The Open Special Editions' to display four different spirit styles. This one was matured in American oak. The distillery’s fruity character combined with a lightness of body give an easy-drinking, Summery feel to the malt. Stylistically similar to a young Glen Grant; spiced pear, baked apple and hints of beeswax build towards a crisp, fresh finish. A lovely appetiser, or try it in a highball with soda. Non chill filtered. 46% Alc./Vol.
