A collector's edition Laphroaig, now mostly sold out in Europe. Distilled in October 1995 and bottled in May 2016 after maturing in bourbon casks for three decades, this was finally bottled at 53.5% ABV.
Laphroaig's 30 year old first hit the market around 2000. Having been discontinued, it's now increasingly rare and expensive to procure (our last 43%ABV bottle sold for $2500). Even more desirable will be this cask strength expression, at least while the opening price holds. A very small allocation has just arrived for Australian whisky enthusiasts. Comes beautifully presented in a lime white timber box.
