Other reviews... Nose: Big, rich, intimidating, sherried. Resolutely by the shore. The medicinal touch mingled with oaky tones. Burning applewood log. Palate: Sweet and silky. Sherry elegantly balanced by peat. Camphor is integrated in oak, giving way to a complex range of flavours. Finish: Dry, spicy, light smoke. Comment: Age acts as a melting pot. All the distinctive Laphroaig features are there but combined into oak. Interesting. - www.whiskymag.com

Deep amber color. Wonderfully complex, and nicely balanced aroma and flavor of vanilla sweetness, tarry rope, oak, toffee, seaweed, and brine. Medium to full in body, and creamy in texture, with a finish that doesn't quit.
