A cult bottling of Laphroaig 10 Year Old Cask Strength circa 2004, pre-batch marketed release. Extremely Limited Stocks.

This is the purists choice for lovers of Laphroaig. Awarded Best Single Malt in the World in 2005 by Whisky Magazine, Original Cask Strength Laphroaig is bottled at natural strength with all the depth, taste and texture normally associated with sampling whisky at source. The result is an emphatic Laphroaig expression, full bodied and unforgettable. Stocks of the 55.7% bottling will not last long. Be quick to ensure you secure a bottle of what is possibly the greatest Scotch Whisky import of the year.
Very Limited Stocks!

“…the peat digs deep, chewy trenches…just so sophisticated.” - Jim Murray

Other reviews…Deep, amber color. Sweet, dark caramel, honeyed toast, and peat aromas. A rich entry leads to an off-dry full-bodied palate with rich toffee, fresh herbal peat, mellow iodine, chocolate covered raisins, and brown spice flavors. Finishes with a long, sweet toffee and spice fade. Superb on its own and a touch of water evolves this beautifully. 55.7% Alc./Vol.
Rating: 93 (Exceptional)
International Review of Spirits Award: Gold Medal. - www.tastings.com

Where the 57.3% (Alc./Vol.) version fires blanks, this presses just the right buttons in the right order to ensure this one is a treat of a dram and so worthy of the great Laphroaig name: just so sophisticated.
Rating: 90 - Jim Murray’s Whisky Bible 2006
