Herno Laphroaig Cask Sipping Gin (500ml)

One in a series under Herno's 'Sipping' label which sees small gin runs matured in x whisky casks. Originally a project to attract visitors to the distillery, it started with a limited edition for the High Coast Whiskyfestival and Hernö Gin Open House. The Laphroaig version quickly sold out in Europe with Australian stocks allocated. We have less than a handful to offer. (Next years release will be matured in an Ardbeg whisky cask, so look forward to that!)

Tasting note: Clear. Aromas of smoldering pine needles, peppercorns and wet campfire with developing citrus. Full bodied attack evokes smokey Fisherman's Friends, pine buds with a spike of pepper heat. Ends with light juniper, char grilled herbs and hints of Laphroaig: Ashy, prolonged with late menthol tobacco. 45.3% Alc./Vol. 787 bottles.
