Tasting note: Polished copper. Powerful bouquet is infused with vanilla and spicy fruit mince pie-like qualities. Creamy entry leads into an intense, tongue nipping attack with bittersweet flavours of Indian chutney, kumquat jam, then flashes of dates and vanilla. Finish is hot, peppery and dry with a mildly metallic mouthfeel and an unusual vegetative note (boiled parsnip? Lucerne mulch? Pickled onion?) Rebounds with late sweetness in the fade. 60.1% Alc.Vol.
