Hart Brothers Single Cask Glenburgie 12 Year Old Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

Speyside, Highlands, SCOTLAND
$190. 00
Bottle
$2280.00 Dozen
ABV: 55.3%

Tasting note: [15ml sample] Very rarely seen as a single malt, the colour alone will excite Sherry heads. Flavour wise, this offers enough 'old school' sherry pleasure to satisfy most; a hint of sulphur complexes the walnut fudge and Seville orange bittersweetness. Classic fruit cake at the finish. Think very good middle-aged Glendronach and you get the picture. Expect it to be even better after breathing. From a first fill butt. 55.3% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered.

UK based Hart Brothers trace their origins in the licensed trade back to the late 19th century, however it wasn't until 1964 that brothers Iain & Donald Hart incorporated the company as Wine & Spirit Wholesalers and Scotch Whisky Blenders. Alistair Hart joined the company in 1975 as chief blender, sourcing vintage casks that were not readily available. While supermarkets have previously imported some lower ABV expressions from Hart Brothers, the real excitement is found in their single cask / cask strength selections. They continue to release new bottlings every six months.
