Great Southern Distillery Limeburners Barrel M31 Single Malt Whisky (700ml)

Great Southern Distillery produces only single cask, single malt whiskys, each one unique. This release is a fitting follow up to Barrels M6 and M35, and marks Great Southern as a consistent producer of quality, single barrel malt expressions.

Impressive brilliant gold/copper colour with a pale gold hue. The nose is familiar from this distillery - almost like an Australian Brandy - Christmas fruit cake aromas emerge with some manuka honey and heavier orange liqueur scents. A very soft palate entry builds to a rich, full bodied, spicy, juicy mouth feel offering flavours of stewed stone fruits, clove and orange cake. Excellent balance. Soft, gently warming spirit. The finish turns dry, followed by a very long aftertaste of Christmas pudding, brandy cream and liquorice allsorts. Delicious! 43% Alc./Vol.
