Glenmorangie The Lasanta 12 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml) - 46% Bottling

Replacing the Wood Finish Range, the Glenmorangie Extra Matured Range is a selection of three single malt whiskies that, following an initial maturation of at least ten years in ex-bourbon casks, have been matured for an extra period (bringing the total time in cask to at least twelve years) in specially selected, extremely high quality, casks that previously held Port, Sherry or Sauternes wine. All are bottled at 46% ABV and non chill-filtered to enhance taste, mouthfeel and/or texture.

Combined with a smart new presentation, this whisky has been 'extra-matured' in ex-sherry casks from the sun scorched plains of Jerez de la Frontera in Andalucia, Southern Spain.

Review of previous NOS (No Age Statment) bottling circa 2010... Pale gold colour with a pale straw hue. Mild aromas of cocoa, dried fig and vanillan oak. The palate is full bodied with a spicy spirit tingle, delivering spicy malt and baked citrus / fig like flavours. Good depth and balance, but lacks length and character. 46% Alc./Vol. 87 points
