Glenfiddich Cask of Dreams Nordic Oak Edition Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

A new no age statement release created exclusively for the Nordic domestic markets and Nordic travel retail. The Viking Line was the only retailer to officially receive stock and secured just over 1000 of the 3,600 bottles produced.

Born of a clever marketing idea to celebrate the 125th Anniversary of the distillery, this 'concept' whisky employed thirteen Nordic oak casks which were "...rolled around the Nordic countries capturing the hopes and dreams of the people".

The use of the Nordic oak to finish this limited edition was a bold decision by Glenfiddich as it was the the first time a Scotch whisky had ever been matured in such casks. Glenfiddich Malt Master, Brian Kinsman commented: "Maturing over a winter in the Nordic oak has brought exciting flavours to the liquid. The flavour is rich and sweet with a vanilla and oak character, you may even feel a taste of cedar trees."
