$54. 99
Bottle
$659.88 Dozen
Minimum 12 bottles
Closure: Cork

Made from a blend of E&E vineyard fruit from the 1995 and 1996 vintages. Opaque crimson colour with deep damask pink mousse. Delicate nose with a hint of earthiness over a peppery blackberry background. On the palate there are some toasty ripe plum, almost fruitcake flavours, full bodied yet quite dry with fine firm and dry tannin structure. A big sparkling Shiraz and one that demands to be served as part of a meal, however, unlike the sweet fruit style of say Seppelt, this is a wine that could handle wild duck or a roast goose dish. Cellar 3-5 years.

AVAILABLE FOR SALE BY THE DOZEN ONLY

Retasted: May 2001
Medium body, crimson, brick red colour. Deep mauve mousse, with good staying power. The bead is fine and displays very good persistence. The nose is a little old fashioned for sparkling Shiraz, with aroma of earth, plum and leather dominant. On the palate the fruit flavours are subordinate leaving the earth and plum flavours to dominate. Creamy texture, followed by back palate flavours of spice and black pepper. Long leather earthy aftertaste. Cellar 2-3 years.
