Geisweiler Excellence Blanc de Blancs Brut

This entry level Sparkling opens with a creamy white mousse showing good hold. Pale straw base wine colour with very fine bead showing excellent persistence. Nosing reveals subtle aromas of pear and baked apple followed by some toast and citrus characters. The palate possesses flavours of pear and citrus with some toastiness in the back ground. Clean crisp finish showing moderate creaminess. Aftertaste of pear and some toastiness.
Drink over the next 1-2 years (2014-2015).
