Dulce Vida 100 Proof Organic Anejo Tequila (700ml)

Reputedly the only 100 proof, 100% organic tequila in the world, the Dulce Vida tequilas are produced in the village of San Ignacio Cerro Gordo at Campanario (NOM 1443) utilizing a Maquila approach to the operations, whereby the team is actively engaged in every detail, from harvest through distillation & aging. This vertically integrated approach is very different from an arms-length transaction of importing product, or buying liquid from a distillery. Maturation takes place in American Bourbon Whiskey barrels. The Reposado is aged for 11 months and the Añejo for 24.

Tasting note:Bright gold. Mildly prickly opening sniffs offer up interesting aromas of rose-scented furniture wax followed by hints of satay sauce and dilute sappy/vegetal like notes. Intense and broad in the mouth with mildly bittersweet cough lozenge, sap and beeswax flavours and tingling spices carrying into the fade, closing well balanced, dry and vibrant. 50%Alc./Vol.

Other reviews... Bright golden yellow color. Aromas of spicy plum-peach chutney, caramelized roasted almonds, oiled leather, incense, and faint medicinal herbs with a fruity-yet-dry medium-full body and a cocoa, sassafras, anise seed, pencil shaving, and hot pepper jelly finish. Interesting and vibrant.
