Tasting note: Aged in a combination of casks, including x Shiraz, x Madeira and x Chardonnay barrels. Polished copper/gold / thick legs. Bold aromas scream orange cake in the opening whiffs; five minutes air contact drops the primary note, adding cinnamon and spicy fruit cake. Builds presence in the mouth with a burst of bittersweet peel, fruit cake and peppery alcohol followed by a trace of match book. Ends gently bittersweet, tongue tingling, spiced-up yet fresh with lingering orange zest, fruit'n'nut chocolate and sweet spices in the fade. Quite a statement in triple distilled whisky. 60% Alc./Vol.
