Back Vintage Sauternes

Now entering the early part of their prime drinking window, the 2015 and 2016 vintages deliver glorious examples of Sauternes and Barsac that are begging to be devoured. Presented here is a selection of standout wines across these two outstanding vintages for sweet wines, each in 750ml format. The 2015 vintage rightly gets all the attention given the wines tendency for power and sumptuous appeal; it's one of the all-time classic years in the region. Comparatively the 2016 sweet wines display greater verve and tension, yet the best examples are suitably lush and lip smacking.
