Le Chiuse are not only one of the most exciting producers of Brunello di Montalcino, they're also one of the most historically significant. While the vineyards have been owned by the Biondi-Santi family for generations, it was also here that the Brunello clone of Sangiovese was cultivated. Recent years have seen a resurgence in refined and silky expressions of Brunello, and Le Chiuse are one of the greatest exponents of this style. For fans of the property it should come as no surprise that their 2017 Brunello is easily one of the most compelling wines from this hot and dry year.
