Nothing short of a revelation, given our past experience with Speyside distillery bottlings.  A genuine diamond in the rough as it were, contributing to the notion that all distilleries are capable of producing extraordinary whisky (some are just more frequent than others).

Tasting note: Slightly dull bronze. Muted creme-caramel / vanilla and light toffee opening is almost reminiscent of rum. Freshens up as barley sugar, delicate orange zest, then milk chocolate and coffee nib-like aromas enter. Some fairly bracing spices amid the creme caramel and vanilla base notes - again, almost lozenge like. Ends dry and spicy with the muted sugars briefly lingering. Excellent balance for its age and ABV. 62.8% Alc./Vol.

Other Reviews...n23.5, t24.5, f23.5, b24...unquestionably the best bottle of Speyside distillery whisky i have ever encountered. Having a sublime sherry butt at work has done it no harm at all. Whatever you do, find this whisky and add to your collection. Gawd knows when you might find another like it! 62.8% ABV - 95.5 points (Jim Murray Whisky Bible 2015)
