Tasting note: Pale gold. Somewhat flat, varnishy opening aroma evolves to appealing poached pear and vanilla notes - pure and true to this distillery at its best and showing no diminution even after ample aeration. Juicy malt and stone fruit feature in a seamlessly integrated, satiny, light to medium bodied delivery with a superb juicy grape, date and cocoa finish to end crisp, dry and beeswaxy into the fade. Utterly delicious. If only more of the distillery bottlings were this engaging! 46% Alc./Vol.
