Allt A Bhainne has Gaelic roots and means something like 'Burn of Milk' (burn meaning 'stream'). A relatively recent enterprise, established in 1975 by Seagrams, its main focus has been to supply malt whisky for the Chivas Regal blends. Mothballed in 2002, the distillery was re-opened in 2005 when Pernod Ricard decided to make Chivas their premier whisky brand. Described as a modern facility and more like a 'whisky factory' than a traditional operation, the output is transported by lorries to a large filling facility in Keith where it's barreled to mature. Reportedly, the distillery has never had a named bottling released. Pernod Ricard claim they intend to keep it that way.

Rarely seen as either an original bottling or as an indie, and even rarer at this age, especially as the distillery is so new.
Distilled in 1992 and bottled in 2013 after maturation in Bourbon casks. From Cadenhead's tasting notes:"Nose: Juicy apples; buttered toast; haylofts and peppermint. Palate: Pineapple, apple juice; gooseberries and icing sugar. With time it becomes much more creamy. Finish: Creamy, fruity and soothing.” 54.4% Alc./Vol. 390 bottles produced.
